Hur hur hur...I just loooooooove shading black things...
Oh yeah. this is Stardroidjean  's character Shadite, who I think easilly the coolest vampire I've ever seen. Jean doesn't draw her original characters very often, so I deceded to draw Shadite myself...AS AN ANTHRO!The accessories were just random add-ons with no reason and aren't part of the original character's design. I just had the idea of putting a leash on a character's arm, so I gave it a whack. Shadite is normally a small rabbit-like creature that feeds on blood. In this picture, he's weakened and hasn't fed in a loooooooong time, starting to get a bit desperate and clawing at the walls...however, it seems like his shadow has spotted a potential victim. I'm trying to improve my lighting skills, with reflections of different colours of lights. (the red one from the shadow's eye.) I think Jean may have intended Shadite to be kind of soft and velvety, but I see him as being made of cold, hard BLAX, therefore I think this may be the shiniest thing I've ever drawn. Anyway, enough rambling-look at the cool vampire bunny thing! ISN'T HE COOL!? Jean's characters are cool and she should draw them MOER! This can be part of yer late birthday prezzy. Great work, the lighting is amazing and I love how you've added your own twists to the character. You've done well with the reflection of the red light too, it adds another point of interest in such an intense image.

I love the detail you put into this! I thought this was a 3D Modeling at first!!  -- The CROSS couldn't HOLD 'em! The GRAVE couldn't STOP 'em! DEATH couldn't HANDLE Him! THAT'S MY KING! I wonder.. Do you know Him? Hoho, I WISH!!
I badly need to learn how to do 3D...I should start now, but I don't have 3D studio max or Maya! AAAAH!! -- And the truth was told! And it was told with fire and passion!! And they listened to that truth with blazing ears!!! THE MIRTH!  Great job on those relfections!
  Oh my hell, lol. That is bloody awesome. I really love how you drew the ears/tail and the shadow idea is all kinds of awesome. Shadite has always been a generall good creature, but he can be very violent when he's hungry or repressed.
I think the lighting is great. It looks Extvia-inspired. Okay so you've totally made me want to work on Shadite more.  Thank you! But two gifts? Waah I'm not that special ;.; -- terrified / Yaoi Gallery / Live Journal  Wow! Impressive!

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
