OK, this is going to be REALLY LONG, so you can skip the stuff inbetween the lines if you want.
Dendyn has always been a land of intriguing happenings and fierce conflict. The stories of many brave warriors and villains are born and reborn constantly with every era. The lagacies of the Dynasties of Dendyn continue to be told, EVEN 3000 YEARS INTO THE FUTURE!
Dendyn Futures is my latest spin-off from the original Dendyn Dynasties. It follows a totally new plot with a new set of characters. However, the HP of the original legends of Dendyn doesn't run thin through the generations. The souls of the original characters live on in their descendants, who once more will entangle fates just like in the days of old.
One thing hasn't changed much at all: Dendyn Futures is still all about crazy RPG-esque anthro action. However, this time around it's not just magic and sword fighting any more thanks to the inclusion of space-age weaponry and MECHS. Something I've never tried to animate before. Get ready for epic giant robot battles, furry style!
This is the first batch of characters. There are still more to come.
-------CHARACTERS-----------
Cyrus (middle): The main character of this story. Cyrus is a young Mech pilot and royal guard in training for the Canid Dynasty. He is an odd looking fox with feathery, clumpy fur. Cyrus has an eager and zippy personality, always wanting to jump headfirst into his missions. Unfortunately, he has a phobia of the Mechs, and often loses his cool when placed in a cockpit. His Mech, the "Vulpine Star", is a heavy-duty fighting machine built for speed. However, since he hates using it, he hasn't created a moveset for it and doesn't understand its full capacity. Cyrus prefers to fight his enemies hand-to-hand with his laser sword. Besides being a fierce and savage opponent, he prefers not to kill his enemies when possible. He's one of the few in his family line to inherit the legendary "Quicktoe" ability, a power that allows him to move at mach speeds for short bursts.
Rodrick: a flying talking onion who accompanies Cyrus as a mentor. Cyrus considers him to be stuffy and boring, and rarely listens to his sound advice. However, this is just as well, as Rodrick is often wrong about things, especially when it comes to fighting. He is quite distinguished for an onion, or any vegetable for that matter.
Marcie: (to Cyrus's right) Considered to be the greatest gun fighter who ever lived, Marcie was critically wounded by a particle energy leak early in her training as a royal guard and most of her body had to be replaced with machinery. Even so, she has a cheerful and cheeky nature, and thanks to an assortment of mechanical parts, has the fighting ability to stand up to small Mechs on her own. She treats guns as if they were living creatures, much to the annoyance of her peers.
Rinna: (sitting on Cyrus' left) She's an achieved Mech Pilot, although she's never used a combat Mech before. Her Mech, the "Nightingale", is a healing machine designed to support the fighters. She's shy, but has surprising elemental magical power behind her small frame.
Keel: (to the right of Riia) Keel is a guest mechanic who works from the Viverrid Dynasties' army in relations with the Canid Dynasty. He knows everything there is to know about engines and Mech parts, but has trouble understanding other people and dislikes carrying conversations. This could be due to the fact that he has an assortment of worrying habits and quirks. Because he's trying to quit smoking, he often thoughtlessly puts small objects into his mouth, including work tools. Despite this, he's more open with Cyrus than many others, and often tries to teach him about the Mechs. He also has mild ability in light magic. Just enough power to jump start the machines in some cases. Keel is semi-nocturnal and can often be found at bars and clubs late at night.
Yoma: (furthest right) a dragon girl who aspires to be a pop star, even though she's also a champion martial artist skilled in the art of Niranjitsu. It's even said that she comes from the same family line that started the Niranjitsu martial art form. She is heavily idolized by Cyrus for her fighting technique rather than her singing, which annoys her. Even so, she becomes one of his best friends after he saves her life. She appears to be dating a hotshot mercenary mech pilot, even though his mech seems to be unregistered...
Jasper: (furthest left) Jasper is the Canid Dynasty's ace operative. As a skunk, he was originally allied to the Mustelid Dynasty, but changed his name and location to avoid being traced by the Mustelid FBI. His small size and young age betray his skill and intelligence. He commissions Cyrus and Marcie to aid him. Cyrus doesn't always agree with his unorthodox methods and the two of them often quarrel. In combat, Jasper uses gloves and boots which are essentially micro-Mechs. These also come in handy for picking locks and tracing fingerprints.
Nile: (the big dude) a traveller from the far off country of Pheroa. Despite his appearance and huge build, Nile is fun-loving and has a dry sense of humor. He is actually seeking employment in the Canid Dynasty to help strengthen ties between Pheroa and the Dynasty league, and ends up becoming Jasper's bodyguard. Because of his strength and buddy-buddy attitude, Nile often hurts people while trying to be friendly. In combat, he uses a special magnet-staff with individual links that can be controlled through magnetism. This kind of weapon takes great skill to wield, so Cyrus is very much in respect of Nile's fighting ability.

Now normally I wouldn't bother to have created this, BUT, I'm afraid that after watching this anime: [link] I just couldn't help myelf.
Seriosly, this was made by the same guys who make FLCL. It's the ONLY giant mecha robot drama anime I've ever liked. It kicks ASS. I was SO inspired by the animation style. Go watch it. NOW.
lol......... so may refernces to Dendyn Dynasties.... NIRANjutsu: Niran is the dragon martial-artist from Dynasties. Rodrick: A relative of the flying onion in Dynasties (DIS SH*T BE WHACK!) Cyrus: Obviously a descendant of Rygel...... Quicktoe is an ability Rygel had. Jasper: Wes and Jasper are both skunks, right? Nile: A descendant of those characters who look Egyptian.
Cyrus's mech issue kind of sounds like Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Does he think "I mustn't run away, I mustn't run away, I mustn't run away" whenever he gets in the cockpit?
