I decided that, after looking looking at more anthro mecha pictures, I wanted to re-design Holly's tight-arsed bio-droid supervisor: X. His design was just too plain, and being a supermodel, his design has to be a bit more snazzy.

So now X has gone from being a pain in the arse to draw, to an even bigger pain in the arse to draw. I don't think I could replicate this accurately without looking at it for reference.

Some of the major changes: X's design now looks more like a fox than a wolf. I was going to make him orange, white and black but that would have made him look too much like Extvia's character Mu. Instead, I'm thinking of keeping him blue, or using red.

The things on either side of his head are now more simplistic, making it easier for me to draw them, because they annoy me. Also, he now has a hexagon-stripey motif to his design that makes him look more plated.

His muscles are not quite so defined anymore, because he was a bit too butch in the old version. However, he's still a tall bastard. I have no idea how many heads tall he is, but I spent AAAAGES adjusting the length of his body to suit the legs.

Finally, I tidied up the main picture in P-shop. That took me most of the morning, so I'm just going to leave the other sketches messy for now. I'll be colouring and making a new profile for X sometime after.

I have no idea about the pose. He's either preparing to initiate some kind of ninja techinque or looking in a mirror. Anyway, it's much less in your face than the pose in the last X picture, heh...

Anyway, what do you think of the new look?
